How to Measure Your Head

Get a Measuring Tape

Use a flexible tape. No tape? Use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.

Position the Tape

Place it around your head, about 2cm above your eyebrows and ears, at the widest point.

Check the Fit

Snug but not tight. You should be able to fit one finger between the tape and your head.

Note Your Measurement

Record in centimetres. This is your head circumference. Use it with the chart below.

Pro tip: Measure at the end of the day when your head is slightly larger due to natural swelling. This ensures your hat won't be too tight during extended wear.

Small (S)	52-54 cm	Teens and small adults	+/- 2 cm
Medium (M)	56-58 cm	Most adults	+/- 2 cm
Large (L)	60-62 cm	Large adults	+/- 2 cm

Between sizes? Choose the larger size. Our adjustable strap lets you tighten the fit, but you can't make a hat larger if it's too small.

What a Good Fit Feels Like

Comfortable band: Sits around your head without pressure points
Stable: Shouldn't shift when you move or bend over
Ponytail freedom: Hair moves freely through the opening without tugging
Forehead coverage: Brim provides shade without obstructing your vision

Hat-Specific Notes

Wide Brim Hats: Tend to sit slightly higher on the head due to the brim structure. If between sizes, go up one size for wide brim styles.
Sport Caps: True to size. The structured crown gives a more fitted feel.
Adjustable Strap: Provides 4cm of variation within each size. Use it throughout the day as needed.
